Activities in the Area

Crocodile Bridge Gate: The entrance into K.N.P is about 9km from the house. If you leave the house early and get to Crocodile Bridge at 6am, you can have a very successful game drive to Skakuza, have lunch and shop and drive out again through Malelane Gate by 6pm. Night drives are organized every night at Crocodile Bridge, just arrange booking by phoning (013) 735 6012 for an experience of a lifetime!

Prawns in Maputo: Take a drive to Maputo 85km from Labombo border Post, which is approx. 18km from the house, and have an unforgettable lunch of Prawns!
(Visas obtainable from the border). All you need is cross border documentation.

Golf Courses: Top class golf courses available at Malelane, Skakuza and Kamatipoort.

Malaria: Marloth Park is a malaria area, so precautions must be taken. Mosquito nets are available at the bush house for your convenience.

Climate: From October to March, the Lowveld is hot and humid. Temperatures average in the mid 30’s with occasional rain showers.
April to September is a popular time of year, as the temperatures are mild around mid 20’s during the day and slightly cooler at night.

Birding: Marloth Park and The Kruger Park is home to more than 500 bird species.

Hospital: Nelspruit’s hospital is the closest hospital, it is 90km away, but there are doctors in Komatipoort and Malelane.
